The total value increased by 5.6% compared with the Dh44.3 billion recorded during the same period in 2025, according to figures from the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department.
The emirate registered 91,560 real estate transactions between January and September, up 14% from 80,320 transactions a year earlier. The figures indicate growing activity in Sharjah’s property sector and continued interest from buyers and investors.
Official data showed that title deed transactions reached 34,420, representing an annual increase of 11.2%. The emirate also recorded 11,258 initial sales contracts during the period.
Mortgage activity included 3,839 transactions valued at approximately Dh10.2 billion, involving 31 financing entities.
Sales transactions totalled 24,749, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year, with a combined value of Dh35 billion. These transactions covered 216 areas across Sharjah, representing a total traded area of approximately 138 million square feet.
Muwaileh Commercial emerged as Sharjah’s leading area for property transactions, recording 3,440 deals worth Dh3.9 billion.
Al Bataeh followed with 2,728 transactions valued at Dh1.8 billion, while Al Khan registered 1,581 transactions worth approximately Dh2 billion. Mazerah recorded 1,115 transactions, and Al Sajaa Industrial registered 991.
The figures highlight activity across several locations, with different areas contributing to Sharjah’s residential and commercial property markets.
Residential properties accounted for the largest share of sales during the first nine months of 2026. A total of 19,910 residential properties were recorded in transactions, representing 80.5% of the overall sales count.
Industrial properties accounted for 3,524 transactions, or 14.2%, followed by commercial properties with 1,295 transactions, representing 5.2%. Agricultural properties recorded 20 transactions, equivalent to 0.1%.
The distribution demonstrates the significant role of residential real estate in Sharjah’s property market, alongside demand for industrial and commercial assets.
Sharjah registered 22 new real estate projects during the nine-month period, covering residential, industrial and commercial developments.
According to the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, these projects form part of the emirate’s efforts to develop an integrated urban environment for residents and investors.
Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, attributed the market’s performance to the diversity of property projects, expanded ownership opportunities and a flexible legislative and regulatory framework.
He also highlighted the department’s continued efforts to improve digital services, simplify procedures and enhance the efficiency of property registration to strengthen the customer experience and the emirate’s real estate market competitiveness.
The latest figures show that Sharjah continued to record substantial property trading activity during the first nine months of 2026. Growth in transaction numbers, the continued dominance of residential sales and the registration of new projects underline the breadth of activity across the emirate’s property sector.
For prospective buyers and investors, these figures offer useful insight into market activity. However, individual investment decisions should also consider location, property type, pricing, payment terms and personal financial objectives.
